This illustration felt like a break though! On most of my old works when i tried to make a simple art piece, it never works out.

Maybe, a little more on the character
There's not enough shadow

Think it needs an Overlay..
I could never just do a little bit of shadows or maybe an multiple layer to give the shadows a little more depth. Always had to add.

One afternoon, i had just finished cleaning my house and was listing to a random afternoon playlist on YouTube. The cover had a stoplight and the sky was like a "green dusk". I remember staring at the cover for a good minute or two. I don't remember thinking anything while i was staring, but almost as if my brain was done processing an idea popped into my mind! I had quite a clear idea of what i wanted to draw. I grab my tablet and started to create my idea. I kept the playlist on repeat, as the songs gave me energy to bring life to my art.
The Creation Date of this piece was on July 26th, 2024. During this time i was in a Bad art block. I remember towards the end of May, the tired-dread feeling slowly creeping up, most likely because i was still trying to figure out what to do with my art and trying to make all the projects i had to come to life. Man, that day when the idea came to my mind, it was a relief. It was like being in a dense fog with blurry vision and finally when the fog was clearing up i started to see again.
The fog only clear up just a little bit, I didn't feel dread while i started to draw, but i couldn't think of how to draw a stoplight (it gave me a headache thinking for a bit) so i drew the one that was on the cover. I would have enjoyed the work i made more if i drew it just from my head, but it's a bit difficult to draw when just getting out of art block.

I Love Zoraork, one of my favorite Pokémon! I thought it was so cool when it's debuted movie came out in 2010. Though i have yet to have any luck with Zoraork in any of my playthroughs of the games..
Morelull is interesting. When i first meet there evolution form "Shiinotic" in Shield, generation 8 of Pokémon. I wished i meet them sooner! They look alien like and pretty, i could not stop starting when i first saw them. Though i had already gotten my team and i was determine to complete my game with the team i had with me, so with a tear in my eye i defeated them and went on my way. Looking back at it, I'm not sure why i defeated the Shiinotic instead of Capturing it.

Coloring Zoraork took the longest, I had trouble with the layers since i didn't separated the body properly. When i got done with each body part into their own layers, I then alpha lock the layer i was going to color. I colored the edge of the body part to do the line art.
The 2 parts that i had struggled on where Zoraork Legs and the tail. (This is why you gotta separate your layers near the beginning of your work) As you seen in the Speedpaint, I had to sketch the legs to get an idea of what looked good. Then since i didn't separate the tail into its own layer, coloring was a hassle but it was worth it!

I was quite Surprise how well this piece did. I had post the completed work on Tumblr and it has gone up to 5,961 notes (as of writing this)! I'm so happy for so many folks to like my art so much! I do feel bad though, i gotten a handful of comments on the post and during the time and i didn't know how to respond to them. I did enjoy reading them! And only recently did Tumblr put in where you can like comments, which helps cause when I'm not sure how to respond to something but want to show that i read the comment and that i see them, i like them!
